Tips for a Successful Move

Make a complete list of the items to be moved and contact one of our sales representatives to give you a moving quote. Moving on a budget begins with an accurate moving estimate.

Keep the following supplies handy to start packing your personal miscellaneous such as: boxes, bubble wrap, tissue, tape, and scissors.

When packing a box, place heavier items on the bottom and keep an inventory of what's inside of each box. Avoid loading more than 60 pounds into one box.

It is important that you call at least with one week in advance to guarantee your pick–up day.

Make sure you keep important documents such as birth certificates, Property documents (deeds), diplomas, records and others with you.

To protect your belongings and avoid accidents, all motorized products such as lawn mowers and other applicable machinery, must be drained of gasoline and oil.

Appliances such as washer, dryers and refrigerators must be disconnected and serviced before they are moved.

All personal items of high value such as jewelry are best carried with you when traveling to your new residence.

When you are ready for pick-up, make sure you give the correct pick-up and delivery physical address. Indicate whether there will be easy access or not before truck drivers arrive. Provide more than one phone number in case we cannot reach you.

Make sure to keep your inventory list handy during delivery. If designating another person to receive household goods, ensure this person receives a copy of the inventory to verify the entire shipment has been received in the same condition.
