Frequently AskedQuestions

Find answers to the most common questions about our moving, shipping and vehicle transport services between Puerto Rico and Florida.

When should I call a moving company?

The earlier, the better. More lead time makes it more likely we can meet your preferred pick-up or delivery schedule.

Do I need an estimate?

Yes. A pre-move survey determines the approximate cost and the amount of space your goods will occupy.

How long does it take to move?

Timing depends on the season, weather, shipment size, loading and unloading time, direction and distance.

Belongings and vehicle, do you send both together or separately?

Normally household belongings and cars are shipped separately. Motorcycles, jet skis, ATVs, golf carts and small boats may travel in the household-goods container.

How far in advance do I have to call for pick-up?

Once you have an estimate, call at least one week in advance to schedule your pick-up day.

Do I have to pay the full transportation charges during pick-up?

Payment is normally due on pick-up day. Ask your sales representative about available payment arrangements.

What happens if I still don't have an address for delivery?

Ask about temporary warehouse storage or arrange public storage. Additional delivery charges may apply depending on distance and circumstances.

Can another person receive my household goods?

Yes. Give that person the inventory sheet and instructions to check each item and perform an initial damage inspection.

Payment Options

On pick-up day we accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, postal money order, manager’s check or personal check. Terms vary by service; ask your sales representative.
