When should I call a moving company?

The earlier, the better.  The more lead time you can give, the more likely we will be able to meet your preferred pick-up or delivery schedule.

Do I need an estimate?

Yes. A pre-move survey is needed to determine the approximate cost of a move and the amount of space your goods will occupy.

How long does it take to move?

This depends on many factors, such as the time of year, weather conditions, size of your shipment, time required to load and unload, and the direction and distance your shipment is traveling. 

Belongings and vehicle, do you send both together or separately?

Normally, we ship your belongings and car separately. Other items such motorcycles, jet skis, four tracks, golf cars and small botes will go in the same container as your household goods.

How far in advance do I have to call for pick-up?

Once you have an estimate, you need to call at least one week in advance to schedule your pick-up day.

Do I have to pay the full amount of transportation charges during pick-up day?

Yes/No. You will be expected to pay the total transportation charges the same day of pick-up to avoid any additional charges. Ask your Sales Representative for any payment arrangement.

What would happen if I still don’t have an address for the delivery?

If you are moving to a new location, but still have not found a house or an apartment, you could either ask our company about our temporary storage service or use public storage to hold your items in the meantime.

Can I assign another person to receive my household goods, in case I’m not on time at the new location?

Yes, but make sure to give the proper instructions to the other person to check off each item on the inventory sheet as it’s unloaded, and perform an initial check for damage.  This is important to ensure you have received all of your goods.
